Installation of photovoltaic panels in the NTUA Administration Building

Technical Services announce that the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the Administration Building at the Zografou Polytechnic Campus has been completed.

 

Specifically, the following were installed:

  • 136 photovoltaic panels, with a maximum nominal power of 415 Wp each.
  • Metal support system for photovoltaic panels made of highly corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy profiles.
  • Two three-phase inverters with a nominal power of 20.0 KW.
  • One three-phase inverter with a nominal power of 10.0 KW.
  • DC electrical panel.
  • AC electrical panel.
  • Wiring system, grids, switches, meter for connection to the Low Voltage network of the Administration building.

 

The total usable power of 50.0 KW of the PV panels will contribute to significant energy savings for the National Technical University of Athens. The Technical Services Directorate is proceeding with the preparation of studies for the installation of additional PV, aiming for a greener campus and the maximum possible energy savings.
